Fee Schedule For Land Title Transfer Documentation / Registration Services In Nigeria.

Legal Consultation/Opinion Services (This service is for the provision of legal guidance/advisory services or Legal opinion notes centering on the position of the law and the complete requirements for land title search/verification, transfer documentation, & registration services in Nigeria ).

 

Legal Fees

-Legal Consultations (Online)

a). Nigerians resident in Nigeria:- 165,000.00(One Hundred & Sixty-Five Thousand)Naira per hour.

b). Nigerians resident /based abroad/outside Nigeria:- 255,000.00(Two Hundred & Fifty-Five Thousand)Naira/$250.00(Two Hundred & Fifty US Dollars) per hour

c). Foreigners/Non-Nigerians :– $400.00(Four Hundred US Dollars) per hour.

 

-Legal Consultations (Face-to-Face)

a). Nigerians resident in Nigeria:- 250,000.00(Two Hundred & Fifty Thousand)Naira per hour.

b). Foreigners/Non-Nigerians :- $550.00(Five Hundred & Fifty US Dollars) per hour.

 

-Legal Opinion Preparation (One-off fee with a provision for follow-up enquiries)

a). Nigerians resident in Nigeria:- 300,000.00(Three Hundred Thousand)Naira.

b). Nigerians resident /based abroad/outside Nigeria:– 450,000.00(Four Hundred & Fifty Thousand)Naira/$450.00 .

c). Foreigners/Non-Nigerians :- $850.00(Eight Hundred US Dollars).

 

2. Land Title Search Services

 

-Legal Fees

a). Nigerians resident in Nigeria:– 75,000.00(Seventy-Five Thousand) Naira.

b). Nigerians resident based outside Nigeria:- 150,000.00 (One Hundred Fifty Thousand ) Naira .

c). Non-Nigerian citizens/ Foreigners:- $200.00 (Two Hundred US Dollars).

 

3. Land Title Transfer Documentation Services(The fees for this category are strictly non-negotiable).

 

-Legal Fees For Land Title Sales

a). Assignee’s (Buyer’s) Solicitor Fee Range:-

-10% of the property transaction value (for property values below 50 Million Naira).

-5 Million Naira for the first 50 Million Naira and 5% of every amount up to 100 Million Naira (for property transaction values between above 50 Million Naira to 100 Million Naira).

-7.5 Million Naira for the first 100 Million Naira and 3% of every subsequent amount (for property transaction values above 100 Million Naira).

b). Assignor (Vendor’s/Seller’s) Solicitor Fee:- One-half of the applicable fee to be earned by the assignee’s solicitor.

c). Where the firm acts as a solicitor to both the seller and the buyer:- 10% of the property transaction value.

 

4.Mortgage Agreement Documentation Services (Fees in this category are strictly non-negotiable).

 

-Legal Fees

a). Mortgagee’s Solicitor Fee

-4% of the mortgage transaction value (for mortgage transaction values of 50 Million Naira and below).

-2 Million Naira for the first 50 Million Naira & 3% of every subsequent amount up to 100 Million Naira (for mortgage transaction values of above 50 Million Naira up to 100 Million Naira).

-4.5 Million Naira for the first 100 Million Naira and 2% of every subsequent amount.

 

b). Mortgagor’s Solicitor Fee -One-half of the fee to be earned by the mortgagee’s solicitor.

 

5. Registration of Land Titles

-A percentage-based fee not below 5%-15% of the property transaction value.
